I am always asked why I chose the life I did
Why an actor? why a writer? and are you really a designer?
The honest truth is, I did it because it is my way of life.
I spent many years trying to find some way to express myself, to reveal to the world that I am not just another face in the crowd, but I never could. I lacked much of the skills needed to truly be an artist.
In my community, the set path is always to be an engineer, or a doctor, and for those who lacked academic prowess, to enter Business.
I wanted to transcend the confines of my upbringing
and rise above the restrictions that were set on me
I wanted to show the world I had something to say and they had to listen. This inbuilt desire for expression is what lead me to acting. I realised as an actor I can be anything and do anything. There were no limits set on me. This, however, was not enough.
I grew up under the geek code, I found solace in the geek culture, and I wanted to repay them the debt that I owed. This is when I became a writer, I strived to create new worlds for others like me, seeking asylum. My goal has always been the same. Find a place where I truly belong, if not, make one. Then help others like me find it too. As for the last question. maybe not, but I'm getting there.
A way of Life
My name will be up in lights, with the whole world screaming. Everyone tuning in to watch me. As I host my very own Tv-Talk show
