My name is Nazer, M R Nazer. That, however, is not important. Who I am, is!
When I was young, so much younger than today, people would ask me where I am from. This was not an easy question to answer, I was a Dubai-Born Indian but I never really belonged to either culture.
I was constantly lost, and so I answered by saying I was a Martian. This made sense to me, an outsider, who does not belong, trying to find his way through the Terran life.
One day I was introduced to the world of Geeks. This was the world where possibilities were endless, you could be a fan of anything, from Anime to Sci-Fi and still be part of the same culture.
This was the world that raised me, and it is the reason for who I am.
I am an actor and a writer.
Both I became as a way to further express myself and pay tribute to the one culture that accepted me. As an Actor I am given the freedom to become anything, I could portray and embody anyone and any phrase. As a writer I could create worlds, universes, even hope for those who read my work.
Today I have studied and practised the art of improvisation, comedy, and even method acting. I have learnt to express my emotions and ideals in both subtle and explosive manners. My skills as a writer help me better understand the characters' motives for each scene I portray and my skills as an actor help me write better stories by taking on the roles of my characters.
I am currently working on a fantasy novel using everything I have learnt from my time in the geek world. I have taken multiple elements from different factions of geekhood and brought them all together in this book. A few chapters are available to read on this website.
I am currently looking for jobs in acting as well as publishers for my new (currently unfinished) book.
The final aspect of my life is design. This is fairly new. I took on this role when I started studying mass communications in university. I am still learning, growing and improving as a designer, and I am currently only versed in Adobe Photoshop (Although I have used illustrator to some extent). I hope to further master my design skills to expand the mediums I can use for self-expression.
MY DREAM IS TO HAVE MY OWN TV-TALK SHOW!
A soul lost at sea finds peace on land
A soul lost on land finds peace in space
A soul lost from the heavens can only find peace in its own reality
